I left all of the warranty stuff for my last camera in Korea. Not very wise since they would have replaced it for free. The good news is that I upgraded and got the Olympus 1050SW camera here in Thailand.

It was only 6900 baht which ends up being a little over $200 US. This is almost half of what the suggested price is so I'm happy. I also got a tunic and a nice oil painting for really low prices.
Still hitting the gym when I get bored. I'm about to buy another guitar to help with the post work boredom too. I want to practice an hour a day and to learn some more complete songs.
I'm teaching Grade 9 Math, Grade 8 English, and Grade 10 Astronomy. I also have a reading group and scouts. It's all going very well. I really like teaching Astronomy. It's so interesting. We basically watch short video clips and discuss them which makes it easy to teach too.
*****To everyone with a Birthday that I've missed*****
Don't worry, you're not forgotten. I was waiting for my Korean pension to come in and it is officially in my bank account now. I will be shopping and shipping strange Asian treasures your way soon.

Hey Teach! Nice to hear a bit of news about your classes. Sounds like you're settling in there. Good job on the new camera!! Looking forward to new pics of your school, surroundings, etc. I think spring has finally come to Fairbanks. It's been nice for all of 3 days. Meredith is home on Saturday, we are jazzed. I am working on little facelifts in the house, ran into a snag and can't find the can of paint I bought for the bedroom, so went onto something else :) had best get back to it. Love you and happy you're living your adventures. Auntie G
Thanks for the update! Astronomy does sound very interesting! Does 9th grade math remind you of helping Niki with her math? ;-)
Look forward to seeing the pic's.
Love you
Mom
Miss ya!
This is the first time I have gotten on here... it's been a while. I'm glad that you're enjoying Thailand! :D
I'll bring you up to speed:
Cori is now on a select soccer team, she was hand picked by the coach to be on the team, he gets to chose 5 girls he wants... and the rest are chosen by their scores. Cori was one of the five. She is also doing track with mum and is one of the fastest gals on the team.
Casey's baseball just finished and he is also doing track... he loves running the 400m and does very well at that (at the last meet he won) His long jump is almost farther than mine! He also has quite the arm and pitched during baseball season.
I am doing track and am currently auditioning for the local high school's dance team... the team is really good! They won state last year and got 13th in the WORLD! (they're crazy good.)The auditions are hard, but fun. :D the types of dance the specify in are jazz (modern ballet) and hip hop. They also twirl flags, guns, and sabers.
I just finished my show, "The Princess Bride" (I was Inigo Montoya) and I got to use a real fencing sword and fake blood for when i got "stabbed"... it was pretty wicked.
Love you to bunches!
Hugs and hershey's kisses,
Eilee
